KIMI is performing a new piece by Kolbeinn Bjarnason and a concert version of the music for the theatre play LIVIA’S ROOM by Þuríður Jónsdóttir

In this concert, KIMI will be presenting three new works by Icelandic composers. The program revolves around powerful female figures who throughout history have stirred either shock or admiration, yet consistently served as a wellspring of inspiration for artistic creation even into modern times.

Galgenlieder [Moderne Mandag]
KIMI will perform the ambitious GALGENLIEDER À 5 by Sofia Gubaidulina, as well as Þuríður Jónsdóttir’s Andante as part of their Moderne Mandag concert in Copenhagen. KIMI shares the stage with flautist Björg Brjánsdóttir and double-bassist Xun Yang.

Livia's Room
KIMI premieres Livia’s Room; a theatre work from author/director Lene Therese Teigen and Norwegian theatre company House of Stories. Music by Þuríður Jónsdóttir.
KIMI @Moderne Mandag
KIMI performs great works of Danish and Icelandic modernism along with newly composed music for the ensemble by Danish composer Jeppe Ernst. The concert is part of the concert series Moderne Mandag.

Medea’s verses
KIMI is travelling to Maine, US to play a world premiere of Medea’s verses by Hugi Guðmundsson and a US premiere of Through the eyes of an Octopus, by Marianna Filippi. Other pieces written for the ensemble are on the program by Finnur Karlsson and Christos Farmakis.

Bittersweet-Album release
KIMI is playing Bittersweet by Nick Martin, in Musikhuset København. Join us for a free koncert and reception to celebrate the trio’s first EP on Dacapo Records.

KIMI is premiering Marianna Filippi´s “Through the eyes of the octopus” in PULSAR festival for new music, in Studiescenen of the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.

Like dreams of the dawn
As part of their mini autumn turné in Denmark, KIMI is playing in the atelier of the Hollufgård artist residence a program with pieces by Christos Farmakis, Finnur Karlsson and own arrangements of Icelandic and Greek folk music. The concert is supported by SNYK and the Danish Arts Foundation.

Like dreams of the dawn
In their mini turné around Denmark, KIMI is visiting Haderslev. In Kunsthal 6100 KIMI will perform a program with pieces by Christos Farmakis, Finnur Karlsson and own arrangements of Icelandic and Greek folk music. The concert is supported by SNYK and the Danish Arts Foundation.

KIMI in Krudttønden
KIMI plays “Ferðalög”, “Like dreams of the dawn” and own arrangements of folk songs in Østerbro´s cosy world scene Kruddtønden.

KIMI is performing a mixed program at the 15:15 concert series i Reykjavík. Premieres of two new pieces by Marianna Filippi and Finnur Karlsson and some new folk music arrangements by the trio.
